In November 2019, the Nouvel Air foundation and SCIC Tetris signed a partnership agreement on various innovation projects committed to the ecological and digital transition of the Grasse region and contributing to integration through economic activity.
Three main projects are being developed within the framework of this agreement.
First of all:
– Connected and inter-connected vermicomposters: providing a complementary solution to the recovery of certain waste from the perfume industry, a major activity in the Pays de Grasse, while allowing the creation of activities for people experiencing difficulties in returning to work.
– Contribute to decision support tools to help in the face of climate change affecting cultivation plans by designing and setting up a network of sensors within the cultivation of perfume and medicinal plants.
The experimental phases of these projects take place on the site of Ste Marthe, aThird Place of ecological and solidarity transition in the Pays de Grasse.
And finally:
– Designing an information system to improve the traceability of plant materials from their collection in the field to their transformation into aromatic matter.
All the projects are developed in Open Source and Creative Commons licenses to allow their reproducibility and the sharing of knowledge and know-how with different audiences.
The Nouvel Air foundation, created by the Albert Vieille company in 2016, has the mission of proposing local solutions to improve air quality through its purification and olfactory information. The creation of this foundation is in line with Albert Vieille’s raison d’être: “To recreate the link between human beings and nature through aromatic raw materials in a conscious organization”. His will is also in line with his contribution to the local life of Grasse through his expertise and know-how related to essential oils.
SCIC TETRIS carries the “Territorial Pole of Economic Cooperation of the Pays de Grasse”, and as such develops cooperation with socio-economic actors representative of the territory, with a goal of sustainable local development and a socio-territorial social innovation approach.
