The CIFRE thesis conducted by Aurélieu Cuchet in our R & D laboratory, with assistance from our Laboratory Manager Elise Carenini, was awarded “Best Poster” at the 2019 ISEO Congress.
The thesis topic is “Authentication of the naturalness of wintergreen (Gaultheria genus) essential oils by gas chromatography, isotope ratio mass spectrometry, and radiocarbon assessment.” The multi-analytic approach that was applied ultimately provided a great deal of information on the naturalness of the wintergreen essential oil. All these techniques are complementary and make it possible to secure the best diagnosis possible.
