Traditional farming generally entails small plantations established according to local tradition. Local populations know how to grow and use these plants, their techniques learned through longstanding traditions. Often based on the principle of mixed farming, these farmers use no synthetic means at all. Organic fertilizers (manure) are those predominantly used.
