This year, we went with our agricultural partner in setting up a still to distil the freshly picked roses. Another step in the transfer of know-how between Albert Vieille SA and its Var agricultural partner. “Distilling the rose water with my own still is a goal since the beginning of the rose garden. A disappointing 2019 crop with far fewer roses than last year. In the heat of February, the buds formed but the cool climate of May delayed their blooming. Some buds have not even finished. The harvest is coming to an end, the volumes will not be as high as expected.
