Our tonka bean absolute will go perfectly with your amber and oriental accords because of its gourmand, vanilla, almond, powdery and honey-like notes. Its facets will also go well with your tobacco or fern accords.
The tonka bean tree bears its fruit over a 3-year cycle. The first year is good, the second is average and the third is poor. The 2018 harvest which began in August will be small.
The tonka bean absolute is produced within our production centre in Almaden de la Plata. It is obtained through solvent extraction followed by an alcohol wash of the concrete. It is characterised by a maximum content of 80% coumarin.
